Candace Cotter
Candace was born and raised on 1100 pristine acres of California's Central Coast. A graduate of California Polytechnic University with a BS in Animal Science, her studies focused on Equine Reproduction. Candace established herself early on in the Arabian Horse Industry as a Breeding Manager on several large and well-known farms across the country. During the 8 years prior to the founding of Cotter O'Hara Arabians, Candace worked with all equine breeds (not to mention donkeys and minis) as Breeding Manager and Hospital Department Head at one of the largest equine veterinary hospitals in Central California. It is Candace's passion for equine reproduction that has kept her abreast of the most current thinking, procedures and technology in her field.

Sharon O'Hara
Sharon was born, raised and lived most of her life in San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area. The granddaughter of one of San Francisco's most celebrated mounted policemen, she came by her "addiction" genetically. Seizing every opportunity to be in the company of horses, she has ridden off and on since she was six years old. Taking time out for career and family, she became active in the Arabian horse community in the early 90's with her two daughters (Meghan "the cowgirl" and Briana "the hunter"). Relocating to the Central Coast in 2000, Sharon brings with her a keen business sense coupled with a broad experience base in communication, event management, marketing and computers. Having been mentored by one of the premier Arabian breeders in the United States, Sharon has developed an eye for the qualities exemplified by the Arabian horse. Through a devotion to one chestnut mare in particular, she has developed skill in the care and handling of aged and infirm equines as well as youngsters.
